The market hours are 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. daily. The farmer’s market is a delightful way to spend a morning in Dallas. You will find a wide selection of produce, shops and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Parking is available a step away for convenience. Stalls are numbered. So, if you like a particular vendor’s product just remember their stall number.
We love this market because you can sample juicy mangoes, sweet oranges, large strawberries, succulent grapes, artisan snacks, BBQ sauces, cupcakes, authentic Jamaican cuisine. We tried the mangoes and pineapples.
Take home large sweet carrots, green leafy kale, spinach and cabbage, savory onions, colorful peppers, or some fresh herbs like sage.
Don’t forget to pick up freshly packed nuts like cashew nuts, walnuts and almonds. While at it get some chia seed and use them in your yogurt, shakes, salads and add to your health.
Don’t forget to check out the cultural stores. We found some clothes made in West African countries of Ghana, Nigeria and Mali.
We loved the salsas and sauces. Try the hot mango with some banana chips from Jamaica. YUM!
You could also find fresh flowers to dress your home or office.
Be prepared to spend at least 2 hours touching, feeling, smelling the produce. It is fun chatting with the stall owners, getting to know other customers and just taking in the view.
One person that we really enjoyed was the owner of Sweet Nana’s Granola.
There is something for everyone. Make sure you stop in and delight your soul.
