Creamy coconut Lentil stew
Lentil stew is a great new discovery. Lentil stew goes well with warm chapati, a flat bread made of wheat flour.  It is easy to make and quick for those days when you don’t have much time to cook a big dinner.

In Kenya, chapati is served with ndengu (green grams), but after searching all over the place for this exotic bean, in the USA, I opted to use green lentils and have never regretted it. Unlike ndengu, lentils are easy to cook and do not need overnight soaking.

Homemade Muesli vs Granola

Muesli is a great cereal made of a combination of dry grain, nuts and fruit.

I first had Muesli while in Germany and then again while in Switzerland.  In Germany they served it with yogurt and in Switzerland with milk. I have never forgotten how delicious this breakfast cereal was and vowed to find it and make it a part of my daily food intake. It sure tastes better than oatmeal, grits or porridge.

The almighty Big G.

This is the best bubble gum there is and that is the truth. You need to chew it until your jaw hurts and the pink turns to white. Then pop in another and try and make the biggest bubble you can without messing up.

Sfuzzi menu

My most favorite place to hang out in Dallas is this great Pizza place called Sfuzzi, located in Uptown Dallas, TX.
We happened to bump into this historic restaurant one Memorial weekend and have never forgotten how cozy it was, how welcomed we felt and how we were treated like royalty. The open wrap around and covered patio with numerous cooling misters drew us in. We were hot from the walk down McKinney Avenue and needed to cool down.
