Klyde Warren Park is an open air community center located right in the middle of downtown Dallas. It is enveloped by all kinds of buildings, old and new. I was fascinated by the beautiful architecture that provides a great backdrop for free community entertainment and activities.
We were lucky to come across outdoor entertainment from the Booker T. Washington High School for the Visual and Performing Arts. We listened to the Jazz and R&B ensembles while walking the length of the park.
It was great fun. The sun was peaking through the clouds, but was unable to lift the chill in the air.
There was a great selection of food trucks serving up pulled pork sandwiches, sushi rolls, tacos, ice cream sandwiches and drinks
Kids enjoyed themselves in the playground area, others kicked soccer balls, threw Frisbees and flew kites. Some folks brought their dogs. It was funny to see how curious dogs and children got with each other.
When in Dallas, make sure you look up events at the Park. You will be truly delighted. Click here to find Visitor Information.
